THE HOLY MONTH OF RAMADHAN ACTIVITIES IN DAVAO CITY
As part of the Consulate General’s public outreach program in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the Consul General visited 8 mosques around Davao City where he donated sacks of rice to the respective Imams of the mosque.
On 11 August, the Consul General together with the Consulate General staff had the breaking of fast (iftar) with the Muslim community of approximately 100 men, women and children in Sasa, a fishing village nearby Davao City. The food was prepared by the PERWAKILAN ladies namely chicken rice, cakes, banana and juice/water.
These annual activities have enabled the Consulate General to forge closer relationship with the local community in Davao City.
