On 14 November 2022, H.E Raja Dato' Reza Raja Zaib Shah and Datin Roslina Ismail, officials of the High Commission of Malaysia and their spouses attended a networking dinner with the Fuzhou Shyiyyi Association of Brunei organised by the association at the Multipurpose Hall of D'Sunlit Sdn Bhd. This was the first-ever official engagement by the High Commission with the association members since its establishment in Brunei almost ten years ago. Present on at the dinner were the Association's President, Mr Jackson Ting, exco members and approximately 50 members of the association.
In his remarks, H.E Raja Dato' Reza commended the association members for their roles in making the Fuzhou Shyiyyi Association of Brunei one of the most active Chinese associations in the country. He also expressed hope for the association members to continue contributing towards Brunei's socioeconomic development and helping the Malaysian government to maintain close bilateral relations between Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam.
The officials of the High Commission of Malaysia also used the occasion to shed some light on several important consular-related matters raised by the association members during the question and answer session.
