Raja Permaisuri Agong Visits RIPAS Hospital

Bandar Seri Begawan - Her Majesty Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Nur Zahirah, consort of Malaysia's Yang Di-Pertuan Agong Al-Wathiqu Billah Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin Ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, visited the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital yesterday.

Raja Permaisuri Agong was accompanied by Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna, and was greeted upon arrival at the hospital by the Minister of Health, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman and his wife.

After being introduced to the Deputy Minister of Health and senior officers at the Ministry of Health and the RIPAS Hospital, Raja Permaisuri Agong proceeded to the Doctors' Rest Lounge at the hospital for a briefing.

The Minster of Health delivered a speech welcoming Raja Permaisuri Agong to the Hospital, which was followed by a briefing from the CEO of RIPAS Hospital, Dr Hjh Norlila binti Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Jalil, on RIPAS Hospital's organisation structure, its staff, infrastructure, as well as its operations.

After the briefing, Raja Permaisuri Agong signed a plaque to commemorate her visit to the hospital and then presented a donation of B$22,000 to the RIPAS Hospital.

Raja Permaisuri Agong continued her visit to the Special Care Baby Unit, which was established in 1983, where she also got to meet and chat with a few staff members from the unit.

She also visited the Children's Ward, where she spoke to several young patients and their parents, before ending her visit with a group photo session.
