The 16th ASEAN Charity Golf Tournament was held at the Meadows Gardens Golf Club in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. About 140 golfers took part in the Tournament. The event was organized under the Chairmanship of the Consulate General of Malaysia.
The ASEAN Golf Charity Tournament was organized to raise fund for charity. For 16 years, the Tournament has contributed more than CAD 130,000 to local charities including to hospitals, societies and several other organizations. This year, the Committee had decided to donate funds to the Diabetes Foundation of BC for its awareness and education programme in the communities living in the remote northern part of British Columbia.
The Organizing Committee thanked all the members and staff of the ASEAN Consulates Generals, volunteers, sponsors and players who made this year’s event a successful one.
