The National Day of Malaysia was celebrated on September 21, 2011 at the Vancouver Rowing Club. The celebration was well attended by approximately 150 guests comprising officials from the provincial and civic governments, diplomatic corps and Malaysian community including Malaysian students.
The guests were regaled to a rich display of Malaysian hospitality with several savoury Malaysian food which included the infamous satay and ‘teh tarik’, music and songs by Malaysian entertainers and a fashion show by Malaysian students in various ethnic costumes depicting the rich and diverse melting pot of the cultural mix of Malaysia.
