11/09: As the current Chair of the ASEAN Consul Generals in Vancouver (ACGV), CG Afandi presided over the latest ACGV meeting. The session included updates on completed, ongoing, and upcoming initiatives under CGM, which is set to conclude in December 2025. CG Afandi also took the opportunity to share outcomes from several recent ASEAN meetings held in Kuala Lumpur, in conjunction with Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN Chairmanship.
The meeting also marked a moment of farewell, as the Group extended its best wishes to CG Tony of Thailand, who will soon retire, and to CG Afandi himself, who will be taking up his next assignment in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
