On Friday, 8 September 2017 the ASEAN Consulates General in Vancouver, Canada namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam in cooperation with the University of British Columbia (UBC) organised The ASEAN Festival to celebrate an important milestone, ASEAN 50th Anniversary.
This year it is very special because it also mark the 40th ASEAN-Canada Dialogue and the 150th anniversary of Canada as a nation. The festival started off with a welcoming speeches from the co-organisers and followed by performances by the five ASEAN countries.
Each countries prepared beautiful booths that proudly showcased their unique cultures, handicrafts and free traditional delicacies where visitors could get a glimpse of the amazing countries of ASEAN.
