The annual ASEAN Picnic and Sports Day was held on September 3 , 2011 at the Swangard Stadium, Burnaby, BC. The beautiful sunshine brought Consuls General, consulate staff, family and friends from four ASEAN nations mainly, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand for this all –day event.
Friendly and exciting matches of Bowling, Futsal and Volleyball with party games for both adults and children saw much cheering and clapping from the stands. Various foods and delicacies from the participating countries added an air of festivity and merriment to the event and the day finally came to an end with a parade of participating ASEAN countries around the track.
