On May 15, 2018 upon the invitation of Dr. Ralph Nilson, President and Vice-Chancellor of Vancouver Island University (VIU) and Mr. John Hankins, CEO of the Mid Island Business Initiative (MIBI), Consuls General in British Columbia attended a regional familiarization tour of Nanaimo.
MIBI was formed by businesses and organizations who operate in the Mid-Island on Vancouver Island. The organisation acts as a catalyst to support the business industry in the region.
During the visit, the Consuls General interacted with international students at the VIU and were briefed on their experiences studying in VIU.
