The Consulate General of Malaysia in Vancouver, in collaboration with Malaysian Association of British Columbia (MABC) organized the First Malaysian Golf Tournament in conjunction with the 49th Anniversary of the National Day of Malaysia. The tournament was held at the Riverway Golf Club in Burnaby. 108 players of Malaysian and various nationality participated in the tournament and a dinner was arranged in the evening at Golden Swan Restaurant, Victoria Drive where the prize giving ceremony was held. The Consul General of Malaysia had personally donated the Challenge Trophy and hand out the prizes during the dinner. The Malaysian Association took the opportunity to sign up new members during the dinner.
The Second Malaysian Golf Tournament will be held sometime in early August 2007.
