KUiTTHO Debaters arrived in Vancouver to participate in the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) 2007 organized by the University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver.
Tun Hussein Onn College University of Technology (Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn - KUiTTHO) of Batu Pahat, Johor will represent Malaysia at the WUDC 2007 scheduled to be held from 29 December 2006 to 4 January 2007 at the UBC, Vancouver.
KUiTTHO team comprises of Mr. Rameson a/l Nallusamy, Mr. Narendran a/l Ramasendran, Ms. Andrea Luxman and Mr. Rajeev a/l Suberamany, will arrived Vancouver tonight, 21 December 2006 to be prepared for the championship scheduled to begin on Friday, 29 December 2006.
Since 1980, the World Universities Debating Championship has become an event that hosts about 1000 participants from 150 universities. In 2005 the championships were hosted by Multimedia University in Malaysia. Even though they had just a year to organize the competition, the championship was a success.
The Consulate General of Malaysia would like to encourage Malaysian students in the Western Province of Canada especially in British Columbia to take this opportunity to extend support to the Malaysian team throughout the championship.
