Registration of Malaysians (Online)

REGISTRATION OF MALAYSIANS LIVING ABROAD

Malaysians living abroad are advised to register themselves at the nearest Malaysian Mission/Consulate-General’s Offices. Failure to do so may cause difficulties for the Malaysian Mission/Consulate Office to provide assistance or protection in the event of emergencies or may lead to the loss of citizenship under Article 25(2) of the Constitution of Malaysia.

Registering yourself would enable the Mission to get in touch with you during emergencies (natural disaster or other circumstances if any) or to inform on activities such as the Merdeka Celebration, promoting Malaysia or any special events.

Malaysians living abroad may register with Mission by filling up the registration form and submit the following documents in originals and copies: -

  1. Passport size photo in colour;
  2. Passport and a copy of passport;
  3. Malaysian Identity Card; and
  4. Legitimation Card or Permit.
