First ASEAN Committee in Geneva (ACG) Meeting, 13 February 2025
Permanent Representative of Malaysia to the United Nations in Geneva, H.E. Nadzirah Osman, chaired the First ASEAN Committee in Geneva (ACG) Meeting on 13 February 2025, marking the beginning of Malaysia’s leadership of ACG under its ASEAN Chairmanship 2025.
The meeting focused on ASEAN’s preparations for the 58th Session of the Human Rights Council (HRC58), emphasising the importance of a coordinated approach and a unified ASEAN voice in multilateral discussions. It also served as a platform to strengthen ASEAN’s engagement with Geneva-based international organizations and enhance its visibility in global fora.
As ASEAN moves forward under Malaysia’s Chairmanship, ACG remains committed to fostering unity and collaboration to effectively represent ASEAN’s interests at HRC58 and beyond.
