ASEAN@50 - WIPO Exhibition and Cultural Event
As part of the ASEAN@50 celebration, the ASEAN Committee Geneva (ACG) jointly organized with WIPO an exhibition and cultural event themed “Intellectual Property, Innovation and Development” at the margins of the 57th WIPO General Assembly.
The inauguration of the exhibition was held on 2 October 2017 and guests who attended were treated to a sampling of culinary delights and cultural performances from the ASEAN region.
Malaysia took the opportunity to promote local Geographical Indication food products such as Sarawak Pepper, Sabah Tea, Dodol Melaka and Tenom Coffee as well as fabrics like Batik Kelantan, Songket Terengganu and Tenun Pahang and craft such as the Kelarai basket and jewellery.
