The Embassy of Malaysia in Santiago and Tourism Malaysia Los Angeles Office held a virtual meeting to discuss potential collaborations and business opportunities in the tourism sector between Malaysia and Chile, as well as Ecuador and the Latin America region. The meeting was attended by representatives from both parties and was led by HE. Abu Bakar Mamat, Ambassador at the Embassy of Malaysia in Santiago. During the meeting, HE. Ambassador expressed interest in obtaining recent statistics on tourism between Malaysia and the Latin American region, and inquired about programs and initiatives aimed at attracting tourists and green investment in sustainable tourism. The meeting was a productive step towards exploring potential collaborations further in the tourism sector and promoting sustainable tourism investment in Malaysia.
