A meeting with Mr Marcello Malfanti, Sales and International Department Manager of Frutexsa a major and main exporter of dried fruits produce in Chile was held this morning at the Embassy of Malaysia in Chile, Wednesday 11/11/2015. The meeting was initiated by the Embassy. Inputs of the meeting were:-
1. Frutexsa currently exporting raisins, prunes, almond and walnuts to Malaysia via its business link Tong Garden in the volume of 4 20 foot containers with gross
Sales of USD80,000. Expecting to increase it further during the next delivery;
2. The company also import Palm Oil in the quantity of 4 containers of 80-60 barrels per container( 1 barrel like 200-250 litres) for a year to do fine processing of their dried fruits in Chile;
3. The company also shows interest to import Malaysia exotic dried fruits like Dried Pineapple, Dried Papaya, Dried Durian if any, Tapioca Chips, Banana Chips; and
4. The company has 12 branches and whole sale centre in the whole of Chile with a turn over sales of USD82 million last year.
