In ongoing efforts against the Covid-19 pandemic, the Hong Kong SAR Government has “appealed to employers to make flexible work arrangements for employees in accordance with their operational needs including allowing them to work from home when appropriate so as to reduce the flow of people and social contact in the community”.

In this regard, Until Thursday, 11 February 2021 (subject to review); Visa, Malaysian Passport and Consular Counter Services will be open to the public during the following days/times:
- Monday: 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
- Wednesday: 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
- Friday: 9.00 am to 12.00 pm
The Consulate-General will be closed on Friday, 12 February 2021 and on Monday, 15 February 2021 for Chinese New Year.
The Consulate-General will resume normal operations on Tuesday, 16 February 2021 (subject to review).
