On 18 September 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the “Talent Exchange Fund for International Students from ASEAN Countries” Agreement Signing Ceremony, at Guangxi University of Foreign Languages (GUFL).
The agreement was signed between the People’s Government of Qingxiu District, Nanning City and GUFL, in an effort to promote educational exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN member countries. It also aimed at encouraging more international students from ASEAN to study in Guangxi. The event was also part of the programs of the series events of the 2024 Nanning-ASEAN Talent Exchange Month which was first launched in 2009.
GUFL has worked with Malaysian higher institutions, such as Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, in student and faculty mobility program. The University is targeting to expand its educational collaboration with ASEAN member countries including Malaysia under the Talent Exchange Fund scheme.
