On 26 August 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the 2025 China (Nanning) – ASEAN Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Import and Export Supplier Conference & Licorice Industry High-Quality Development Forum, at the Wuxiang Resort in Nanning.
The event brought together scholars, regulatory experts and industry players from both China and ASEAN to share their expertise on promoting the development of TCM and increasing market access for high-quality TCM products. It is a pivotal step in streamlining the global TCM supply chain and meeting the rising worldwide demand for integrative healthcare solutions.
During the meeting, Datuk Ho Teck Keun, Chairman of Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce for Traditional Medicines & Health Products delivered a presentation on the development and market for traditional medicines in Malaysia, and also outlined the country's regulatory framework for these products.
