On 02 March 2026, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the 2026 ASEAN Diplomats in Nanning and Hong Kong & Macao Compatriots in Guangxi Karaoke Friendship Event, at the Guangxi Arts University. The event was graced by H.E. Lu Xinning, Vice Governor of Guangxi People’s Government.
Themed "Gathering Friends in Nanning, ASEAN Hearts United", the event was hosted by Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office to strengthen people-to-people bonds and deepen ASEAN-Guangxi friendship through interactive performance and vibrant cultural exchanges.
During the event, the Consul General was interviewed by Guangxi International Communication Centre. He welcomed more engagement between Guangxi and Malaysia in various fields, including culture, tourism and education, emphasizing the strong people-to-people ties that continue to strengthen China-Malaysia bilateral relations. He also highlighted the celebration of Visit Malaysia Year 2026 and extended an invitation to people from Guangxi and across China to explore Malaysia’s unique charms and diversity.
