His Excellency Raja Dato’ Nushirwan Zainal Abidin, Ambassador of Malaysia led Malaysian official delegation to attend the 18th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) that held from 10-13 September 2021 in Nanning.

The Ambassador was invited to deliver keynote speeches at some major side-line events in conjunction with the 18th CAEXPO. Both ASEAN and China are strategic partners and friendly neighbours, and it is ever natural and necessary for both sides to continue to further promote and enhance regional integration, ensuring supply chain sustainability, boosting development confidence in the region, and jointly tackle the challenges of COVID-19 through the deepening of production capacity and investment cooperation, he said during his speech on the China-ASEAN Production Capacity and Investment Cooperation Forum on September 9.

The Ambassador also shared his insights on accelerating the upgrading of “two countries, twin parks” during the Economic and Trade Cooperation Forum Marking the 30th Anniversary of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relations.
He highly commented the role of the Twin Parks in boosting the close Malaysia-China bilateral relations and ASEAN-China relations, and urged both CMQIP and MCKIP to take continuous efforts to build them into competitive parks to attract more investors and businesses both local and from abroad.
Also present at the event were Consul General of Malaysia in Nanning Mr. Azlimi bin Zakaria and Minister of Malaysian Embassy Mr. See Chee Kong.
