PERSON UNDER SURVEILLANCE (PUS)
ARRIVING FROM ABROAD
STARTING JUNE 10, 2020
The Government of Malaysia has concluded that beginning on 10 June 2020, all Malaysians arriving from abroad are NO longer required to obtain and present a Letter of Undertaking and Indemnity and Journey Permission from the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning before returning to Malaysia. The procedure will also be applied to all foreign nationals who may be allowed to enter Malaysia upon the approval of permission to enter Malaysia from Director General of Immigration Malaysia.
With effect from 10 June 2020, all Malaysians and non-citizens having permission to enter Malaysia will need to undergo a mandatory self-quarantine period of 14 days upon arrival after they have been cleared from COVID-19 by the Ministry of Health and will be monitored through MySejahtera application.
Individuals who are subjected to quarantine orders and holding a Letter of Order For Supervision And Observation At Home For Contact of 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Infection Under Section 15(1) Prevention And Control of Infectious Disease Act 1988 (Act 342) are hereby referred to as “Person Under Surveillance (PUS)”.
