On 21 October 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the opening ceremony of the ASEAN-China Environmental Cooperation Forum, in Beihai City, Guangxi.
The forum brought together nearly 300 participants, including environmental ministers and senior officials from China, Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, and international organizations.
The event featured a main forum and five parallel sessions, focusing on implementing the China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Strategy and Action Framework (2026-2030) , and enhancing collaboration in green and low-carbon development.
Prior to the opening ceremony, the Consul General attended a group courtesy meeting with H.E. Sui Guohua, Vice Governor of Guangxi People’s Government and H.E. Zhao Yingmin, Chairman of the Belt and Road Green Development International Alliance, exchanging views on further strengthening environmental cooperation between China and ASEAN countries.
