On 10 May 2021, The Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning was briefed by the Malaysian Healthcare Tourism Council on the Malaysian Medical Travel Industry programme. The briefing highlighted Malaysia’s potential to become a leading destination in Medical Tourism, as well as Malaysia’s strategy to mitigate the effect of the pandemic. The Consulate was also informed on the importance of Southern China as one of the main markets for Malaysia’s Health Tourism sector.
