In the evening of 8 December 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the opening ceremony of the 11th China-ASEAN (Nanning) Theatre Week, at Guangxi Culture and Arts Centre.
As an important event of the 2nd China-ASEAN (Nanning) Culture Month, the event served as a platform for cultural and people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.
A total of 12 art troupes from seven ASEAN countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, performed at the event. The troupes presented a diverse range of performances including opera, puppetry, skits and dance.
Also in attendance were H.E. Dato’ Shaharuddin bin Abdu Sohot, Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Malaysia, and senior officials from local government agencies.
