On 03 September 2024, Consul General Mr. Phadil Ismail attended the China (Guangxi) – ASEAN Seminar on Regulation over Traditional Medicine and Standard Research, at Nanning Wosheng Hotel.
The seminar provided a platform for in-depth discussions and knowledge sharing on the latest regulation policies and international harmonisation of traditional medicine. Several scholars and experts in related to medical field from Malaysia participated in the event.
During the opening, three presenters from Malaysia shared Malaysia’s experience in traditional medicine. Dr. Tang Pei Ling, Associate Professor of Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology, gave a presentation on the Safety and Quality Control of Traditional Medicine in Malaysia.
Dr. Gan Fen Fang, Traditional and Complementary Medicine Division, Ministry of Health, Malaysia and Ms. Maizatul Hasyima Omar, Specialist of Quality Control and Evaluation of Natural Products in Malaysia, Institute for Medical Research, Malaysia also shared practical insights and scientific findings on T&CM Research as well as Quality Control and Evaluation of Natural Products in Malaysia.
After the opening, the Consul General engaged with the Malaysian representatives and exchanged information on Malaysia’s collaboration with China in the fields of traditional medicine.
