On 31 January 2026, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail and spouse participated in the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration hosted by Ms. Bebe Zhao, President of China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange (CAMEX) for ASEAN friends and families in Nanning.
Themed “Galloping with Spring Vitality • Gathering of Good Fortune”, the event aimed to foster stronger China-ASEAN relations through cultural celebration. A number of interactive activities were arranged, such as fun amusement activities, intangible cultural heritage handicraft experience, tea tasting, and Lou Hei (also known as Yee Sang), a traditional practice that is popular in Malaysia and Singapore.
