On 21 January 2025, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail and spouse participated in the annual Spring Festival reception hosted by H.E. Lu Xinning, Vice Governor of Guangxi Government, at the Nanhu Mingdu Hotel.
During the reception, the Consul General extended his best wishes for the upcoming Lunar New Year to Vice Governor Lu. Both sides commended the dynamics of engagement between Guangxi and Malaysia last year and committed to sustaining this positive momentum in 2026.
The ceremonial reception brought together a large number of officials from local government and diplomatic corps in Nanning, representatives from universities and enterprises, foreign experts as well as the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Liaison Office in Guangxi.
