Consul General Mr. Azlimi Zakaria attended the Senior Officials’ Meeting for the 18th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) on 7 April 2021. The 18th CAEXPO is scheduled to be held in a hybrid mode from 9-13 September 2021, with the theme of “Advancing Quality BRI Cooperation, Promoting Sustainable Development”.
The award ceremony for excellent contributions to the 17th CAEXPO by participating countries was also held during the meeting. Malaysia has won three prizes, namely “Best Trade Visitor Organizer”, “Trade and Economic Outcomes” and “Best Trade Organizer for Online Businesses”.
The meeting was followed by a luncheon hosted by Ms. Cai Lixin, Vice Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and a survey trip to China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone Nanning Area, including Nanning Post Office Customs Smart Supervision Centre, China-ASEAN Economic Centre, China-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park, BOC Hong Kong Business Operation Centre, and China-ASEAN Smart City Innovation Centre.
