On 21 March 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the 2024 City Insight Tour for Foreign Diplomats in Nanning that was organized by Nanning Foreign Affairs Office (FAO). The tour included site visits to three local companies that involved in lithium battery, aluminium processing and other emerging industries.
During the meeting session, the Consul General highlighted the advantages of collaboration between Malaysia and Guangxi, such as the government-to-government flagship project of the “Two Countries, Twin Parks”, and he welcomed the opportunities to work with EV companies in Nanning that would further promote industrial cooperation between Malaysia and China.
Also in attendance were Ms. Peng Jian, Director of Nanning FAO, Consuls-General of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar in Nanning and officials from local district government.
