In the morning of 19 January 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail attended a business networking between a delegation from Negeri Sembilan State, Malaysia and Guangxi Department of Commerce (DOFCOM) at its office.
The Negeri Sembilan delegation was comprising of 9 members, headed by YB Teo Kok Seong, member of Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council cum Chairman of the Industrial Action Committee. YB Teo briefed the meeting on their purpose of visit and gave a presentation on Malaysia Vision Valley program.
During the meeting, the Consul General highlighted the significant role of trade and investment in Malaysia-China relations. He added that the Malaysia Vision Valley program is a new opportunity for China and Guangxi to join Malaysia’s development. He also welcomed the proposal to include the Malaysia Vision Valley program into the 5th Joint Cooperation Council (JCC) Meeting on the “two countries, twin parks”.
Also in attendance were Ms. Bai Lan, Executive Deputy Director General of China (Guangxi) Pilot Free Trade Zone, and representatives from CMQIP Administrative Committee and Beibu Gulf Port Group.
