Consul General Attends a Seminar on Palm Oil Promotion in Nanning

On 13 June 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the Palm Oil Technical Seminar for SME Food Players organised by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council Shanghai Representative Office (MPOC), at Guangxi Wharton International Hotel in Nanning.

 

 

During his opening remarks, the Consul General highlighted the crucial role of palm oil in food processing. He also shared on how palm oil has led the other competing vegetable oils and fats in terms of production, exports and consumption due to its versatility, wide application and completive price. The Consul General also called for enhancing all-round collaboration between China and Malaysia, particularly in the palm oil trade given the positive outlook for edible oils and fats demands in China. 

 

 

 

 

During the event, Mr. Desmond Ng, Chief Representative of MPOC also shed light on the wide application of palm oil and its green development. During the event, local palm oil users also shared their insights into the application, innovation, and advantages in food processing.

 

The event was attended by more than 100 palm oil industry players in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
