On 19 November 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the opening ceremony of the 2023 China-ASEAN Mayors’ Forum, at Hongmou Hotel in Guilin City, Guangxi.
The Forum is an annual event initiated by the Guangxi Mayors’ Association and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat in 2014, aiming to foster closer city cooperation and exchanges between China and ASEAN member states.
A delegation from Sabah headed by Madam June Francisca Abbie, Director General of Kota Kinabalu City Hall participated in the Forum and took the opportunity to present a video promoting tourism in Sabah.
