Consul General Mr. Azlimi Zakaria attended the launching ceremony of photo exhibition marking the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malaysia “Two Countries, Twin Parks” and delivered a speech on 26 April 2022 in Nanning.
The Consul General stressed that China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (CMQIP) is the first national level economic and technological industrial zone cooperation between Malaysia and China, and the third for China with other countries. He further echoed President Xi Jinping’s announcement to turn the twin parks into Malaysia-China flagship project and a role model for ASEAN-China cooperation.
The Consul General further highlighted the joint efforts made by mission, local government and the management of CMQIP to facilitate the high-level visit of officials from Malaysia to the industrial park.
He also reviewed the achievements made by the CMQIP in the past decade, in particular in the facilitation of the importation and promotion of Malaysia’s products, such as durian, edible raw bird nest and so on.
The exhibition was a side-line event of Malaysia-China (Guangxi) Investment Forum and the 10th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malaysia “Two Countries, Twin Parks” co-hosted by the People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
