On 31 December 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail attended the launching ceremony of the 2nd Guangxi New Silk Road New Year E-commerce Festival and 2024 Online New Year Shopping Festival, at the China-ASEAN Mercantile Exchange.
During the event, H.E. Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry extended his congratulations to the convening of the event via video message. He further encouraged more interactions between the e-commerce markets of Malaysia and China.
The event was co-organized by the Department of Commerce of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (DOFCOM) and Nanning Municipal People’s Government, aimed at deepening e-commerce exchanges and cooperation between Guangxi and ASEAN member countries.
Also in attendance were H.E. Sui Guohua, Vice Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, and diplomats from ASEAN member countries in Nanning.
