On 18 March 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail attended a scholarship award ceremony at Guangxi Minzu University (GMU) and witnessed 10 outstanding international students from ASEAN member countries including Malaysia to receive the scholarship.
The program was launched by the State Power Investment Corporation Limited (SPIC) and Guangxi Minzu University with an aim to cultivate talents for green development in ASEAN.
Also in attendance were Consuls General of Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar in Nanning, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou, Mr. Zhao Lankun, President of SPIC Guangxi Electric Power, Mr. Chen Yingxin, Deputy Party Secretary of GMU and diplomats from other ASEAN member countries.
