On 31 January 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail attended the 2024 Nanning New Year Reception hosted by Mr. Guo Wei, Vice Mayor of Nanning People’s Government, at Guangxi Wharton Upsky International Hotel.
The event was organized by Nanning Foreign Affairs Office (FAO). Also in attendance were Ms. Peng Jian, Director of Nanning FAO, Vice Consul Ms. Farah Eliza Mansor, Consuls-General and other officials from the ASEAN missions in Nanning.
During the event, the Vice Mayor expressed his appreciation to the ASEAN missions in Nanning for their support and said that Nanning will expand its opening up cooperation, especially with ASEAN member countries. He also called on ASEAN missions in Nanning to seize the unprecedented good opportunity in the year of 2024 and join hands in building a better future for Guangxi-ASEAN development and cooperation.
