On 29 August 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail attended the 3rd China-ASEAN Youth Painting Exhibition and addressed at the opening ceremony, at the Theatre of China-ASEAN Youth Exchange Centre in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.
During his speech, the Consul General highlighted that education is a “soft power” resource and Malaysia is working towards developing into an international higher education hub. He also encouraged further exchanges and collaboration in cultural and education sector between Malaysia and China, making contributions to the betterment of ASEAN–China relations.
The Consul General presented awards to the winners
The Youth Painting Exhibition is one of the side-line events of the 2023 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week, receiving overwhelming submission from over 15 countries. A total of 81 participants from Malaysia have been selected as winners in various categories, and their paintings were part of the 3-day exhibition in Guiyang.
