Consul General Attends the 5th JCC Meeting on CMQIP and MCKIP

In the morning of 23 April 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail attended the 5th Joint Cooperation Council Meeting (JCC Meeting) on China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park and Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park, at Qinzhou Tianjiao International Hotel, Guangxi.

 

 

The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail, Chief Minister of Pahang State and H.E. Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) for Malaysia and H.E. Li Fei, Deputy Minister of Commerce, H.E. Miao Qingwang, Vice Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for the People’s Republic of China.

 

 

During the meeting, both sides highlighted the achievements and progress of CMQIP and MCKIP respectively, and exchanged views on strengthening the synergy between the Twin Parks, expanding the existing cooperation to multiple districts and sectors and elevating the development of the Twin Parks by leveraging on their differentiae.  

 

 

During the two-day event, the Consul General also attended a launching ceremony highlighting the industrial achievements of China-Malaysia “Two Countries, Twin Parks”, and joined site visits to several places, including Beibu Gulf International Port Group in Nanning,  Pinglu Canal and CMQIP in Qinzhou as well as Shenglong Metallurgy company in Fangchenggang.
