On 26 June 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail, attended the opening ceremony of the Guangxi-Pingxiang Sino-Vietnamese Border Tourism Festival 2023 at the Square of Pingxiang Friendship Pass.
Pingxiang is a county-level city bordering Vietnam, and served as one of the major land Customs clearance checkpoints for fruits imported from ASEAN member states.
The Consul General also visited the import and export fair to learn about the border trading market. During the session, he engaged with a Malaysian businessman involved in transportation and durian trading who participated in a signing ceremony.
