NANNING, 24 May 2019 – Consul-General Azlimi Zakaria paid a courtesy call on the Consul General of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in Nanning, Mr. Soe Thet Naung at the Myanmar Consulate-General office there.
During the meeting, the Malaysian Consul General thanked Consul General Soe for the cooperation of the Myanmar Consulate towards the establishment of the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning in the middle of 2015.
The Consul General of Myanmar congratulated Mr. Azlimi on his assumption as the new Consul General of Malaysia. Both Consuls General also discussed a series of meaningful activities to be conducted particularly in support of the ASEAN community building efforts with the local community as well as the local government. Both sides acknowledged the significance of CAEXPO with Guangxi, therefore the preparations of CAEXPO 2019 were also discussed.
