Consul General Mr. Azlimi Zakaria attended and delivered remarks at the Awarding Ceremony of the China-ASEAN Youth Painting Exhibition and the Launching Ceremony of the Youth International Exchange Program 2022 in Nanning on 12 August 2022.
ASEAN and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cultural Cooperation in 2005. It was a significant marker for ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations as this MoU has sparked further creative and artistic cooperation between both sides until today, said the Consul General during his remarks.
He further appreciated the organizer providing such platform for the participants to share their dreams, ambitions as well as their understanding of everything around them and within them, and he encouraged the two sides to continue working together in a wide areas of cooperation including culture and arts.
Among the over 300 paintings received from ASEAN member states, more than 120 paintings were from Malaysia, according to the organizer.
