On 20 January 2021, Mr. Azlimi Zakaria, Consul General of Malaysia in Nanning, welcomed Mr. Xiang Yongjun, member of the Standing Committee of CPC Fangchenggang Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Fangchenggang City, during a courtesy call on the occasion of the Spring Festival. Both sides exchanged views on current COVID-19 situation in Malaysia and China as well as assistant that both countries have provide.
Mr. Xiang also took this opportunity to delivered brief on the Fangchenggang city economic development situation and major achievements as well as on the development of Fangchenggang International Medical Opening-up Pilot Zone.
In addition, both sides agreed to enhance the future exchanges and cooperation on the investment in both countries particularly in field of palm oil and steel industry.
