On 26 October 2023, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail hosted a dinner for Ms. Wei Zhaohui, Secretary General of China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Secretariat, at Nanning Marriott Hotel.

The Consul General expressed his appreciation to the Secretariat and Chinese government for the assistance rendered to Malaysian delegation during the CAEXPO period, as well as for their efforts to ensure the successful convening of all the events.
Malaysia and China will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year. Against this background, both sides pledged to work together towards a closer bilateral relations.
The dinner was also attended by Mr. Zeng Zhong, Deputy Secretary General of the CAEXPO Secretariat.
