On 17 November 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail hosted a dinner in honour of Mr. Wang Jicai, Secretary General of China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) Secretariat, at the Nanning Marriott Hotel.
During the dinner, the Consul General commended the CAEXPO for its vital role in providing a platform for Malaysian products to access the vast Chinese market. Both sides expressed their shared commitment to leveraging this key platform for deeper trade ties between Malaysia and China, especially through Guangxi.
Both sides exchanged views on the preparatory work for next year's CAEXPO that coincide with the 5th anniversary of ASEA-China Year of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
