Consul General Hosts Luncheon for Malaysian Students and Malay Educators in Nanning

On 01 November 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail hosted a luncheon at the Pappa Kopi, a Malaysian-owned restaurant in Nanning, for Malaysian students and educators as well as Chinese students and educators who are involved in Bahasa Melayu studies in Nanning.  

Before the luncheon, the Consul General delivered a remark where he highlighted that youths are the bridge between nations and help strengthen friendship and mutual understanding. He also emphasized the importance of learning the Malay language, highlighting its role in both professional and personal development.

During the event, the participants enjoyed a variety of authentic and delicious Malaysian dishes, such as, rendang ayam, udang asam pedas, kari ayam, sayur campur, tauhu sumbat, rojak buah, popiah goreng, cendol, teh tarik and agar - agar for desert.

 

Following the meals, a lucky draw was organized to add excitement to the event. Participants had a chance to win a variety of prizes, including Malaysian cultural items, snacks, and the restaurant's coupons.

The event offered an opportunity for attendees to connect with fellow nationals, foster a sense of belonging, and enjoy a taste of home in a warm and festive atmosphere.
