In the morning of 22 April 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail participated in the meeting with H.E. Liu Ning, Secretary of CPC Guangxi Committee and H.E. Li Fei, Deputy Minister of Commerce, China, at Liyuan Resort, Nanning.
The Malaysian delegation was led by H.E. Dato’ Sri Wan Rosdy bin Wan Ismail, Chief Minister of Pahang State and H.E. Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI), who were in Nanning for the 5th Joint Cooperation Council Meeting on China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park (CMQIP) and Malaysia-China Kuantan Industrial Park (MCKIP) on 23 April 2024 in Qinzhou.
Both sides commended on the positive role of CMQIP and MCKIP flagship projects and expressed commitment to jointly enhancing collaboration in digital and green economy as well as boosting more two-way investment into the Twin Parks, in an effort to pursue a win-win cooperation and push bilateral economic and trade cooperation to scale new heights.
Also in attendance were senior officials from Pahang State Government, MITI Malaysia and local government agencies including Guangxi Department of Commerce and Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office.
