On 13 October 2024, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning collaborated with the Malaysian Student Association in Guangxi to organise the Bowling Tournament 2024 at Nanning Huaxing Bowling Club. The event was held in conjunction with the National Sports Day (Hari Sukan Negara) and was able to foster sportsmanship and unity among Malaysians, especially Malaysian students, in Nanning.
In his remarks, the Consul General thanked all the participants for their support and participation at the event. The tournament served as a venue for Malaysians abroad to gather and interact as well as to foster friendship and togetherness through healthy competition.
Around 40 participants made up of officials and local staff of the Consulate, and Malaysian students in Guangxi took part in the tournament. The bowlers were divided into 7 teams. After two hours of friendly and intense competition, the winners were rewarded with special gift hampers prepared by the Consulate General. All the participating students were also presented with a Certificate of Participation for their contribution to the event.

The National Sports Day was initiated by the Ministry of Youth and Sports on the second Saturday of October every year since 2015 with the aim of promoting a culture of sports throughout the country through embracing healthy lifestyle.
