The Consulate General of Malaysia collaborated with the International Communication Centre of Guangxi Radio and Television (GXRT) to produce a special documentary in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Malaysia-China diplomatic relations.

The 5-episode documentary reflects on the friendly exchanges and collaboration in different sectors between Malaysia and China through Guangxi, a journey of cooperation and mutual growth between the two countries through normal people’s eyes. The documentary focuses on durian trade and smart agricultural technology exchanges, railway skill talent training with particular reference to the Malaysia’s East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project, sports, TCM and the Malaysia-China flagship cooperation project of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park.

For the last episode, old and new friends from Malaysia and China were invited to gather at the Consulate General. For Malaysians, they shared their working live in Guangxi and for the Chinese, their stories of how their work relates to Malaysia.

The documentary is expected to be aired in September through TV and new media channels under GXRT in China, and GXRT's channels on Youtube, Facebook and Tiktok.
