Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning hosts a vibrant Malaysia’s Cultural Night in Nanning

On 31 October 2025, the Consulate General of Malaysia in Nanning hosted Malaysia’s Cultural Night, at the Nanning Shangri-La Hotel. The vibrant event was well attended by over 100 guests that include government officials and Malaysian diaspora in Nanning.

In his welcoming remarks, the Consul General extended appreciation to the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia (MOTAC) and Guangxi Arts University for their tremendous contribution to the success of the event.

He highlighted that culture connects the hearts, builds understanding, and brings people from different parts of the world closer together. He underscored that the event aims at sharing Malaysia’s culture through the dance performance and bringing the people of Malaysia and China closer together.

The Consul General also took the opportunity to promote the Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign, inviting more visitors to explore Malaysia's diverse attractions, from its unique cultural experiences and delicious cuisine to its stunning natural landscapes.

The event presented a feast for the senses, captivating attendees with traditional Malaysian performances and a diverse array of authentic culinary delights, serving as a bridge of people-to-people ties and deepening friendship and mutual understanding between China and Malaysia.

Also in attendance were Mr. Song Haijun, Deputy Director General of Guangxi Foreign Affairs Office, Ms. Lin Lin, Deputy Director General of Guangxi Department of Culture and Tourism, senior officials of government agencies and diplomats from ASEAN missions in Nanning.
